If you don’t work in the PR world you will be shocked to know that press days are now in full swing for Christmas. Yes, that is right. The monthly magazines are in fact planning their Christmas issues so press days are put on for press, bloggers and journalists to see the upcoming collection.
I was lucky enough to be invited to a press day for kids collections, partywear and accessories by the lovely girls at Cartable Enfants.
It was so lovely to be at the press day, meet the team and see the brands they look after – which are all beautiful, so beautiful I thought I would share.
The kids toys from Djeco were out of this world. Everything was labelled with ideas of what to buy each type of child – for the musician, the explorer, the sewing enthusiast, the chef, the inventor and many more. This was a lovely touch as adding categories for different types of kids, especially at Christmas, is very helpful. It was a lovely touch. Everything was wood – another plus as I hate plastic toys and have always brought wood from the minute my eldest was born.
The possibilities are endless, small items, items for play rooms, sewing toys, dress up, detailed dolls which are just so unique and fun, pirate ships, guitars, board games, puzzles and so so much more, They are educational, fun and just so different. Let’s just say you will not want to hide these toys away when you have guests over.
They have toys for all ages from babies up to 13/14. I was so impressed.
At the press day was also a skincare brand I thought was so clever. Everything you need for your boys and girls – muddy knees, dirty faces, tangled hair. Luxurious skincare for kids and they all smelt amazing. Dandydill Way products contain botanical extracts from British berries. There is something for every child. They even have perfume suitable for kids and deodorant so your teenage girls don’t have to steal your deodorant as well as your shampoo. Not only do the products smell divine, they will look lovely on your bathroom counter.
This brand, Organic Zoo, had recycled clothes – rompers, jumpers and beautifully printed babygrows that are so soft and come in sizes for newborns to age 5. The jumpers I could not photograph but their slogans were adorable and I have not seen them on the high street before, Trust me – they are beautiful in the flesh. I find it to be very Australian – but it is not, it is all made in the UK.
Meri Meri is a brand I have seen all over Instagram for a very long time. Their dress up, party decorations, table dressing, cups, garlands and everything else in between is out of this world. Every theme you can imagine and more, they even have hair accessories, crowns, clips and more all for dressing up. They do the most adorable and unique Christmas tree decorations – squids, unicorns, sausages dogs, fairies, Parisian dogs…
The crackers and the reindeer eggs were my favourite. Perfect for Christmas Kids Parties – inside are little fun surprises for the kids. They are like the new and luxurious Kinder eggs – which I love.
I also had a look at the catelogue for Halloween and Christmas and can confirm the dress up for boys and girls is just phenomenal and I know where I am getting their costumes from this year.
These vintage pieces from Tocoto Vintage were so stunning. The colours and prints were just so pretty and so well made. Frills, crochet collars, red, velvet, sheepskin and more. The kids will be looking stylist, comfortable and absolutely adorable in these outfits. No high street can compare.
To finish off the day you got to leave with a beautiful bunch of flowers that were made on the day and a such a lovely goody bag with gifts from all the amazing brands. Such a lovely day and I am so pleased I got to see their newest collections.
All links are provided so please do have a look and thank you again to the team at Cartable for the kind invite.
