One thing you cannot have too many of, over the summer, is sunglasses. I have lots and try to limit myself every year to buy just one new pair. I have sunglasses that I have had from when I was a teenager to ones I brought specifically for my honeymoon (and haven’t used since).
I thought I would show you my favs and let you know the best places to buy on trend shades…
My favourite shape is the cat eye. I think is never goes out of style, it makes a statement and looks so on trend. These black sunglasses with the gold edging I brought for my honeymoon 3 years ago and haven’t worn them since. They are too precious and I worry the kids will sit on them, they will get scratched or I might loose them in the sea or something. I brought them from ASOS. Their sunglasses are so affordable and really last.
Best Tip – is always buy a sunglasses case – they are £1 from Primark. Stock up and always store your shades in them. The one thing I hate is scratched sunglasses – especially when I am driving. Also, they are great distractions for kids.
One of my favourite shops to buy sunglasses from is Monki. These chunky mocca coloured ones are from there and I wear them every year. They are fun and quirky and they are so stable and chunky they will not easily break or get damaged.
I think you should always have a silly pair of glasses – just something that you can wear with a simple outfit like a white dress, denim cut ouffs or maybe a plain boho top. Nothing says boho then heart shaped sunglasses. £3 from Primark and I wear them every summer.
Lastly, the ones I have worn a lot recently, on the school run, while shopping etc – the over the top cat eye from ASOS. They cost me £12 and were my new purchase this year. Great with hair up, hair down and really do go with everything. You cannot go wrong with leopard print.
Enjoy your shopping.
